so true! i'm more of an After School fan myself but SNSD are still quite epic.

yeh thats so true but it would be quite hard.
also just noticed your avatar and i want to say that i loved the cosplay at supanova it was the bomb! definitely a top 5 cosplay of supanova 2010.

i was thinking about this earlier in the year but to organize such a group to coordinate would be hard to say the least
the amount of shifting the SNSD girls do to get in the spotlight is crazy, even some copy dance groups of 5 had to keep the shifting to minimal

what stopped me putting more thought into this was the cosplay competition rule. isnt there a rule that says something about not allowing people to do random dances and songs if its not in character? maybe they changed the rule? would like to be corrected if im wrong but!

u can have a limit amount of people on stage but eugene gonna be little more relaxed with next years cosplay contest

All you need are odd groups of 3, 5, 7 or 9

Essentially no, because that'd provide a loophole for any entrant to ignore the rules and do their unrelated dance anyways. If it's a skit where they do a tiny bit of dancing as part of a larger skit might be acceptable, but I couldn't say for sure. If you have queries about specific skits you have planned, contact the cosplay co-ordinator, Eugene, who is on the forums as Knux and send him a message.

I am still interested in doing this (for anyone who cares). Anyone who wants to join in is welcome, though I will probably not be starting any 'training' or 'getting to know the dance' until after my study load lessens, as I've already had to quit something I love because Uni got too stressful.

Anyways, for those people who are wondering about the validity of doing the dance, should we do the dance AS the Dead Fantasy characters, then technically it would not be out of character, as it was the creator of the Dead Fantasy series (Monty Oum) who put them in this to begin with.

Also, does this new rule mean no more Caramelldansen?

EDITED TO ADD: doing the dance with the sailor scouts would have been fun though.

yes. And the time limit is three minutes and the song is 3:26. It seems that the cosplay comp is conspiring against my dance idea.

You could see if you could just hijack the stage, even if you can't enter the competition?
